FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • DO YOU TAKE MY INSURANCE?
    We accept most insurances! However, please call our clinic at 713.790.1221 to discuss your insurance coverage, as every insurance plan is different.
  • DO YOU ACCEPT MEDICARE AND MEDICAID?
    We accept Medicare. We do not accept Medicaid.
  • DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION?
    Prescriptions are not required for all cases. However, some situations call for a doctor’s prescription. Please call our front desk at 713.790.1221 to discuss your situation.
  • WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
    A Photo ID Card Your Insurance Card(s) Your Doctor’s Physical Therapy Prescription Please fill out the forms from our link prior to arrival. You may email the paperwork to JWFrontdesk@JohnWestPT.com to expedite your check-in process. If you have not completed the paperwork, please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time to fill out the paperwork.
  • HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?
    Initial evaluations usually take a longer time as the Physical Therapist does an extensive review of many factors, such as your living / work environment and how that affects your physical condition, and the treatment plan required. Depending on your condition, some diagnoses may necessitate a longer treatment time. Your therapist will explain further during your visit.
  • DO YOU OFFER AQUATIC THERAPY?
    Yes, we offer aquatic therapy.
  • WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY THERAPY SESSION?
    You should wear loose fitting clothing and comfortable shoes. Proper attire facilitates the Physical Therapist to perform a thorough examination. You may use our restrooms to change your attire. If you have a knee problem, wear shorts.  If you have a shoulder problem, a tank top is a good choice. If you have a low back problem, wear a loose-fitting shirt and pants. Aquatic patients should bring swimwear. A T-shirt and shorts are acceptable.
  • WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?
    Monday to Friday 8.00 A.M to 5.00 P.M. We are CLOSED on Saturday and Sunday.

  • DO YOU HAVE OTHER LOCATIONS?
    No. This is our only location.
  • WHERE DO I PARK MY VEHICLE?
    We have two free parking lots for our patients. You may park immediately in front of the clinic on the concrete parking area, or you may use the adjacent gravel parking lot with the large oak tree. JWPT signage is posted for your convenience.
